Egyptian Journalist:
Netanyahu after signing strategic anti-Iranian pact with Egypt

Editor in Chief of Cairo-based An-Naseriyya daily said Monday Zionist PM Benjamin Netanyahu is trying to sign an anti-Iranian strategic pact with Egypt.

Abdullah Sanawi told the Qatar-based Al-Jazeera reporter on Monday night, “Netanyahu is after signing a comprehensive security pact with a number of Arab countries, including, and first with Egypt against Iran and the Palestinians.”
He added, “We might be able to say that the most perilous part of the Zionist prime minister’s Monday negotiations with the Egyptian president in Sharm al-Sheikh resort was focused on this matter.
Sanawi said, “Israel believes today it has achieved a golden opportunity to sign a strategic treaty with Egypt and that group of Arab and Islamic countries that Tel Aviv regards as extremist, against Iran.”
The Egyptian journalist reiterated, “Ever since signing the Camp David Treaty the Cairo-Tel Aviv relations had never been so high as to sign a strategic treaty, because the gaps and differences of opinion at times even led to the emergence of crises in bilateral ties.”
He opined, “Now it seems as if Israel has interpreted some signs sent by Cairo as the emergence of the appropriate time for new pro-Tel Aviv developments.”
Sanawi added, “This new strategic pact, if implemented, would not only be perilous for the security interests of Egypt, but also a great hazard against the interests of the entire Arab and Islamic worlds, and the only winner of it would be the racist Israeli regime.”
He said that the diplomatic moves made by Egypt in response to Israel’s pursuing of that objective have been worrying and in a way fully in harmony with the Zionists’ interests.”
He added, “We can for instance refer to the recent remarks of the Egyptian foreign minister who said that the main enemy of Egypt and the Arab countries is Iran, not Israel.”
Sanawi said, “Relying on such a chaotic status at the Egyptian diplomatic scene, Netanyahu finds the ground well paved for further trampling upon the remainder of the denied rights of the Palestinians, totally marginalizing the Palestinian issue.”
He said, “That is the reason why nowadays we hear news from Washington regarding inclination towards denying the Palestinian refugees the right to return and elimination of Beit-ul-Muqaddas from the Arabic peace plan, in return for slowing Zionist township construction and annexation of the ones in the West Bank onto Israel.”
An-Naseiyyeh daily’s editor in chief reiterated, “Egypt must resist against materialization of the Israeli-US plots, which would, if implemented, lead to further segregation of Egypt within both the Islamic and Arab worlds.
