gency) - Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said on Friday that the Resistance party was not afraid of false accusations, noting that the indictment in the investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri is politicized and is not based on real evidence.
"An indictment that accuses Hezbollah is not just a political position, but an assault against the Resistance and Lebanon," Sheikh Qassem warned. "We are not afraid or upset by false accusations … and the other camp will be the first side to be harmed by the indictment," his eminence stressed.
Sheikh Qassem reiterated , meanwhile, that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon is being employed by the United States and Israel to harm the Resistance in Lebanon. His eminence revealed that some Lebanese sides had requested from the US that Israel refrain from issuing statements on the tribunal during this period.
"Whenever the Israelis speak, they hurt a camp in Lebanon," Sheikh Qassem concluded.
