(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A high-profile Iranian cleric and scholar died due to heart disease at a hospital in Tehran on Sunday.
Ayatollah Abas-ali Amid Zanjani, former Tehran University dean died early Saturday due to heart failure.
Zanjani was programmed to deliver a speech at the “Islamic Fiqh and Islamic system building” at Tehran University.
Born in 1937 in Zanjan, Arak Province, he became a member of private and Islamic law professor both at seminaries and University.
A former lawmaker at Iran’s parliament, he lost in battle against heart disease and succumbed to death at a hospital in Tehran.
